Press Release: International Association of Women Recognizes Lisa Etzel, LCPC, BCC, as a 2019-2020 Influencer

Lisa Etzel, Leadership and Sexual Harassment Coach at Empowering #MeToo, joins networking organization

Chicago, January 28, 2019 ( – The International Association of Women (IAW) recognizes Lisa Etzel as a 2019-2020 Influencer. She is acknowledged as a leader in coaching. The International Association of Women (IAW) is a global in-person and online networking platform with nearly one million members, 1000+ in person and virtual events, over 100 Local US based Chapters and International Chapters in several cities in China.

Lisa Etzel has more than 18 years of experience as a Psychotherapist and has had her own private practice since 2002. Before that, she worked in corporate America and was a small business owner. In 2016, Ms. Etzel became a Board Certified Coach (BCC), and uses her skills as a psychotherapist and background in business to help business owners, executives, artists and entrepreneurs. Much of her work has been with women, helping them to develop leadership skills, gain confidence and “uncover their true self.”

Today, Ms. Etzel is also a Leadership and Sexual Harassment Coach at Empowering #MeToo, where she continues her work to empower women. Acknowledging that more and more women are being sexually harassed in the workplace, Ms. Etzel offers assurances by uncovering their own resources, empowering them to make choices that are suitable and assisting them legally by guiding them in the right direction. She works tirelessly to ensure their dignity is intact and they feel empowered to make the necessary changes that will promote freedom and safety.

“I support and empower those who are targets of harassment, creating stability, along with a sense of security in their workplace allowing them to perform their specific roles to the best of their ability and be treated with dignity and respect,” Ms. Etzel says on her website. Passionate about what she calls her “mission,” Ms. Etzel’s goal is to work closely with corporations and offer her expertise and services as a Leadership Coach eradicating sexual harassment. “My belief is our leaders are our guide to implement this cultural revolution of change,” she said. “I work closely and intimately with leaders one-on-one and through my website, expanding, heightening and developing their skills as leaders who are continuously called upon to reinvent themselves. Great leaders are catalyst for transparency; this is a crucial piece of this change.”

“I know we are in the midst of a societal change,” Ms. Etzel continued. “I honor those who are speaking out and also those who understand the conversation about sexual harassment and that leadership must change. I so appreciate the leaders who are having this conversation and the women and men who are willing to stand up together linking hands to change the culture and the policies, ensuring safety and security n the workplace.” Ms. Etzel volunteered as a Big Sister through the Big Brother Big Sister organization for several years. She was also a support volunteer for Sexual Assault Support Services on the seacoast of New Hamphsire for two years. She has led workshops in New Mexico for teaching staff at the Pojaque High School and in Los Alamos, N.M. She is the Author of a blog and has appeared on a radio show.
